Super Tuesday

We’ll see how the delegate count shakes out, but both Obama and Clinton did well and will be able to claim victories. Obama routed her in the caucus states and should win more states. Hillary was able to hold on in New Jersey and win California.

It’s absurd that the Clinton campaign is claiming an “upset” win in Massachusetts. Very lame. They always resort to this Orwellian bullshit. Clinton had a huge lead there and Obama never had a lead in the polls.

At this point, Obama has momentum and an advantage with fundraising. Clinton is hanging in there and has some advantages with the Hispanic vote in states like Texas. It’s still a tossup.

When both Senators, the Governor and one of the most revered families in the history of American politics are vigorously supporting your opponent you are an underdog!

You must be joking. The polls had her up by 30 points just rcently. Her husband is the former President of the United States, and three months ago she was the inevitable candidate. The endorsements were a big help for Obama of course, but not enought to make him the favorite.

I have seen campaigns work on the ground. The biggest part of winning comes from organisatiion and that starts in neighborhoods, from the ground up. The Clintons have structures in place from years ago, all around the US, which to me makes Obama’s rise all the more astounding.

The Kennedy’s have structures in place in Mass that could have helped Obama “if” they had endorsed him a few months ago. So from a practical standpoint, the Kennedy endorsements meant very little to Obama but they will make a huge difference in Obama’s favor come November when he runs against McCain in the National Election with his running mate, Al Gore. (just half joking there, but please…. Obama….. anyone but Hillary)
