Peggy Noonan on Hillary

Vulgar and cynical. It’s amazing how low Hillary will go. She will go down as one of the most classless politicians in American history.

My feelings for HIllary were summed up by Jack Nicholson in One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest when, referring to Nurse Ratched, he stated “she’s something of a cunt doc”
Hillary, race baiting, stop at nothing including the destruction of the party, Clinton.
Nurse Ratched, comes back to life

Peggy Noonan is one of the most respected women in journalism and if she’s for OBAMA then I must be right too in making a decision of who would make the best president in these complex times. There is one edge Obama has that Clinton or McCain will never have and that is YOUTH. Hilary and McCain ought to get off their EGO TRIP and let the YOUNG, INTELLIGENT, AND WISE RULE. OBAMA IS THE ONE. If the Democrats loose this election we might as well have a monarchy in this country!

You have got to be kidding me. As you well know, I am no HC supporter, but if you mention a fact that is true about race, you’re a racist???
Pat Buchanan puts it perfectly:
“What Hillary and Begala are saying is politically incorrect, but it is also patently true. Hillary was describing what may now fairly be called the Hillary Democrats — a.k.a. the ex-Reagan Democrats who did not vote for Obama and may defect to John McCain.”
Here’s the link:

So she mentions a fact, follows it up by saying that is how she’ll beat JM in November, and it makes her “vulgar and cynical???” My God, you have to be kidding me.
What’s amazing is the slightest criticism of BO is automatically labeled racist and the left comes out, guns a blazing, to protect their chosen messiah.
I can’t believe you don’t see this.

Nick, I don’t get it either. I assume you want 8 more years of the same. Buchanan is great. I think he would have made a great president. I’ll check out his blog. Are you for the draft again? How else would we have enough soldiers to fight the wars McCain and the other war hawks have planned for the next 100 years. Many are not willing to sacrifice their children or grandchildren for such military adventures. Are you?

What I don’t want is even 8 months of a tax and spend liberal who stands for NOTHING I support. I Don’t want big government, I Don’t want my taxes to go up (currently I have to work till April 23rd to pay all my taxes– tell me that’s not insanity), I Don’t want any expansion of government, I Don’t want to live in a country that has condones partial birth abortion or prohibits parental notification if a minor gets an abortion (tell me THAT”S not insane) - would you want your daughter to come to Pennsylvania to have an abortion without you ever knowing about it? I could go on and on - BO stands for NOTHING I believe.
As far as the war– democrats have an abysmal record for military strength. Would I want the draft to come back– honestly, no– but if the country needed that sacrifice for freedom and democracy I would have to support that position. There were over 800,000 deaths and injuries in WWII. Whole cities in Europe and Asia were fire bombed and hundreds of thousands of civilians were killed and maimed. Was that a just war? Would you prefer to speak German?
We can argue on the justifications of the war in Iraq– but I would NOT trust a democrat who is willing to have a “sit down” with enemies that would just as soon cut off all our heads if given the chance-
No– I do not want BO and 8 years of the alternative has to be better.

Nick - You’re really missing something here. Peggy Noonan is Reagan’s former speachwriter. She is not a flaming liberal. Also, she did not call Hillary a racist. She used “vulgar and cynical.”
It is beneath a presidential candidate to be so crude about this kind of racial analysis.
Noonan was pointing out how low Hillary would go.
By the way, after 8 years of Bush, we are now $5 trillion more in debt, and the dollar is plunging. You obsess about taxes, and then you vote for incometent right wingers who destroy the value of the few dollars you save in taxes.

Nick, we and millions in our country feel the same way about issues on abortion, school choice, Supreme Court members, and so many conservative view. These issues we will have to continue to fight for irregardless of who is president. If O wins in the fall I think they have no choice but to at least come center. I wish too there would have been a candidate who embodied all my values but I simply had to make the best choice. I’ll stick to O unless there is some dark horse there we do not know about. RON PAUL was my first choice. As for talking to enemies, what other choice do we have but war? I respect your values and mine are the same. Have you visited MONTE CASSINO in the Abruzzi-Molise area? It was so sorrowful to see so many Americans dead yet my father was killed in the invasion of Sicily on the Italian side. His brother was killed in WWI. Keeping my children and my grandchildren alive is a top priority since already our family has shed their share of blood. As we study and reflect on WAR in HISTORY who is right and wrong depends on which side we are on. Frankly, many of us are sick and tired of war and sometimes do not even care who is right or wrong. What we care about is that HUMAN BEINGS BECOME RATIONAL AND GET TO A POINT OF REASON AND TOLERATION. When we face GOD then we’ll know who is right or wrong. Glad we can be rational!

One point that I feel people on the right often misunderstand is abortion. We must support a womans right to have an abortion because it is a personal choice.
Furthermore, most good fearing, hard working Americans would not have an abortion and really that is the point. Abortion is a wonderful form of selection, in that only godless people would ever elect to abort their own flesh. What more could we ask for than to have those without faith, cleaning our gene pool, willingly and voluntarily.
Abortion is therefore a wonderful form of voluntary genetic selection and I feel it the essense of a conservative policy to support and promote the survival of the best in our nation.

Is abortion a personal choice form the point of view of the infant that’s murdered?
If you’re comfortable with a nation that allows the destruction of an unborn human for the right of the “woman to choose” (which is an absurd argument) that says more about you than your silly caricature of the conservatives position on abortion.

Nick, every abortion kills a future bad person and that my friend, is a wonderful thing. Imagine the crime rates if these people went ahead and had all those kids, think ahead for a change instead of sticking your head in the sand.

JP, You are here because you had the right to life. I’m sure you are a great person but what makes you think that those aborted are less than you or anyone else? You mean that the millions of people who are not here because they were aborted were all going to be criminals. You are totally wrong! Men and women both should be responsible for their sexuality and if a life is created than both are responsible.
