Will liberals step up to the plate?
Many liberals are furious over the possibility of losing the public option, and they’re pissed at President Obama for hinting that he could support a bill without it. One problem, however, has been the simple fact that the angry right has been out-organizing the left when it comes to health care.
That may be changing, as the Huffington Post reports that liberals are starting to out-number the health care opponents and screamers at the town hall events.
This can help, but they need much more. If they want to sway wavering members of Congress, then they have to do a better job of mobilizing support for health care reform and the public option.
I support the public option, but I’m not willing to kill health care reform if we have to settle for co-ops instead.

agree. We can’t let the extreme left dominate. The GOP nearly destroyed america by letting the extreme right take it over. The co-op idea is workable and Obama needs to stop waffling and cut the god damn deal while he has a chAnce.
More cold hard facts on your glorious “universal care,” comrades

The Washington times is not journalism it’s partisan Nazi trash. The article you link to cherry picks a few numbers vastly irrelevant to the overall issue of American health care. If you buy the conclusion from that article that our healthcare system produces the best results in the world you probably also accept as fact that the average American has one testicle and one breast.
There’s only one stat that counts, life expectancy. It’s a cold hard measure that cannot be distorted.
According to our own CIA life expectancy in the united states is 78.11 years. We are ranked 50th in the world. I would love to know how the Washington times might argue that life expectancy is an invalid measure of a countrys health care system.
Face it by the only measure that counts we have the worlds 50th best healthcare system. Impressive. When you consider that no nation spends more per person it makes our result downright humiliating. We should live to be 100 on average if we were to get bang for our buck.
It was the bush CIA by the way that gave us these numbers and since bush was infallible the numbers must be correct.
JP– you drip and seethe contempt– loosen your tie, you need some O2. You libs have everything you’ve ever wanted in government and y’all are still pissed at the world.
This “healthcare reform” of your clown president will not pass in this idiotic form (public option garbage or co-op non-sense garbage.) The American people have demonstrated over and over they DO NOT WANT THIS SH*T.
That’s the bottom line.
Nick, don’t forget that the only reason there is any debate at all on this issue is that Obama wants bi partisan support. In the end the demos have 60 votes in the senate. We can shove this down your collective throats. And once we do those republicans who bore false witness will face someday the wrath of God. Our saviour Jesus Christ healed the sick and poor, someday he will vent his vengeance on the apostles of greed, you can bet on it. And the best part is that thanks to our saviour Obama, we will cover everyone for less money than we spend today.
Praise Him!
It would appear from these polls that the American people in fact do “want this sh*t”…
