Conservatives gloating about Chicago’s failed Olympics bid
Here’s a good article detailing all the childish gloating from the right. This is another example of how low our politics have sunk in recent years. Conservatives used to rail against liberals for alleged “Bush Derangement Syndrome,” but the contempt and hatred for Barack Obama has reached bizarre levels on the right. Frankly, they sound like a bunch of dumb teenagers taunting a rival team.
Would you please tell us where Obama has succeeded? So as to make the right look stupid for his contempt of Obama. Yes he was elected President but the polls tell us that each day that the number of people sorry to have voted for him is going up and up
To be fair, Obama did risk falling flat on his face by going there. I support Obama but think that more than once he has overestimated his ability to “charm” his way towards getting what he wants. Politics is complex and requires sophtisticated efforts at times to win battles, to the extent that this embarrassment, and it is an embarrasement, helps him realise that, all the better. Obama’s lack of experience all too often is showing, let’s hope he learns from this notching down on the Olympics
I work in chicago & have seen chicage politics up close and, as a taxpayer, pay for it. Obama is a Chicago politican. reward your friends & punish the opposition. Chicago politics is now in Washington. I am an olympic fan but glad the Olymics are not going to Chicago. we Peon taspayers would be paying for waste & skim.
What about the Obama’s jetting carbon footprint? And bill to we Peon taxpayers? global warming rules are for us Peons, not the elite.

I’ve been saying this since the campaign (He has NO experience with anything) and he won’t learn from this. He’s an arrogant chump – you lefties may be starting to wake up, as are the gullible swing voters that got something they did not vote for.

Well, I’m not sorry I voted for President Obama and I will do it again at the next election. Why do you condemn someone for trying (to bring the Olympics to Chicago). I don’t care one bit if the Olympics are held here or in Rio (or anywhere else for that matter). The President was making a pitch for his country (oh yeah, that would be your country too). He’s a team player, just showing which side he’s on. As for you, it’s hard to tell.
Nick: unlike most on the fascist right, who still believe bush never had a bad day in 8 years, on the left we’re capable of the seeing the truth. For another example, I’m furious at Obama’s gutless political snub of the Dalai Lama. That said, I am also convinced that Obama will never do the a fraction of the damage that George bush did. Bush left us in the throes of an economic depression that was 98% created by his failed policies and the right still won’t admit it and instead they keep beating the brain dead racist drum of less government (less government, invented by conservative god Reagan, always was a ku klux Klan codeword for “anti welfare” the blacks are ruining the nation). I am sorry but you folks have let a stupid but effective mantra drive your entire philosphy, even if it means destroying the united states. I’d say that’s a touch worse than a few Obama errors
