Hysterical Headlines – Mark Halprin suspended by MSNBC
MSNBC just suspended Mark Halprin for saying President Obama was acting like a “dick” today on the air. He was dumb for saying it, but he was trying to make a point about Obama’s tone, and naturally everyone is treating this like it’s a HUGE news story. It’s not. It’s just the kind of “shiny object” that gives the talking heads and bloggers something to talk about for a day.
Of course this is news, but does the Huffington Post really need this blaring headline with the “breaking” flash images on both sides? Good grief . . .
The funny thing is that Halprin is a pretty good commentator who is very honest about his opinions, often taking shots at both sides, so he often comes across as a dick himself. I think the whole episode is kind of funny.

You Know I am amazed by the People of the United States of America. We have are still a NATION that is SOUL DEEP In RACISM, and more so since this PRESIDENT was ELECTED……I was an avid reader of TIME, however, I am canceling my subscription TODAY.
I am enraged of the LACK OF RESPECT that NEWS Commentators, no matter what Network for this PRESIDENT. Regan, who caused one of the greatest Recession in the eighties is considered a HERO; Bush, who ran ROUGH Shot over this Country for eight years, and nearly, or should I say has put this COUNTRY is the worse Economic Crisis, somehow, gets a free pass.
What more DISRESPECT and RACISM can one nation apply to a PRESIDENT who was dealt the situation he has been dealt. News Corporations across this
country have vilified this President, his Wife and Children when previous Presidents, these wives and children were off limits, yet when it comes to the Current PRESIDENT and FIRST FAMILY anything goes.
I am so disappointed in this NATION and its NEWS Outlets both Black and White with respect to their denial and refusal to ignore the Countries Racism toward this PRESIDENT. This is why White Americans can call him Names, make race bating cartoon’s regarding his wife and call his children vile names. It’s all because none of you have the courage to call what is happening what it truly is; yet you report the negative remarks with VIM and VIGOR. No wonder we are a COUNTRY that’s is in BALL of CONFUSION.
GOD is WATCHING, you can continue on as you are, or begin to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as YOURSELF. Mr. President, GOD has your BACK and he will continue to lead you through Valley and the Shadows, regardless of your NEWS Critics, White American Hatred and Black American Hatred. There isn’t anything that you can do that pleases any of them, but GOD knows.
