Jon Stewart mocks Bill Clinton

The media won’t do its job, so Jon Stewart is on the case.

After all the years of Bill Clinton’s bullshit, it’s amazing how the media drinks up everything he says without doing any real analysis or reporting. Their idea of analysis is to argue about how his statements affect the horse race, but they rarely do any real research to determine whether his allegations are true.

TV news sucks – just ask Maria Shriver

I always like Maria Shriver. Now I love her.

Maria cited the media circus surrounding the death of Anna Nicole Smith as one of the reason why she won’t be returning to NBC News.

Shriver, speaking Tuesday at a conference on women, said the media circus surrounding Smith’s accidental drug overdose death last February led to her decision.

“It was then that I knew that the TV news business had changed and so had I,” Shriver said. “I called NBC News and told them I’m not coming back.”

Good for her. Will the executives at NBC News and MSNBC learn anything from this? Don’t hold your breath.

News Flash! – MSNBC broadcasts a REAL documentary!

I criticized MSNBC in the past for broadcasting incredibly lame, low-brow “documentaries” during MSNBC’ nightly “Doc-Block.” Instead of covering real issues of our time in these programs like the Iraq War or Social Security, MSNBC offers us an avalanche of prison documentaries. We get it already – prison sucks.

Maybe, just maybe, the brainiacs running this alleged news organization have decided that they can make room in their schedule for some of the great documentaries produced each year by all types of filmakers. Tonight they are airing “Super Size Me,” the award-winning documentary that tracks a man who eats only food from McDonald’s for one month. The results aren’t pretty. It’s informative and entertaining.

Is this the start of a trend? Let’s hope so. MSNBC should be commended.

MSNBC is so lame

MSNBC can’t help themselves. John Kerry botched a joke, and they can’t stop talking about it. The fact that we lost 103 soldiers in November hasn’t been mentioned yet this morning. They also haven’t covered the story of how the Iraqi government is stopping oir military’s operations in Sadr City.

The executives at MSNBC made a smart call when they decided to devote this week to coverage of the upcoming elections, but they destroy their credibility when they focus on tabloid-style stories like the Kerry quote.

While we’re on the subject of losing credibility, John McCain seems determined to destroy his reputation as a fair and reasonable politician. His attack on Kerry was shocking, given that Kerry explained that he mispoke. Any serious lawmaker not obsessed with scoring partisan points would take him at his word. McCain is becoming a political hack.
